A fabulous hilltown just ten minutes drive from Genius Loci is Montefalco. The area is well known for wines, but not to be overlooked is the beauty of this town and the food it has to offer. There are several great restaurants in such a small locality.
When you go at night for dinner, you almost feel like the town is all yours, the beatifully lit street you walk in on, the piazza at the top of the street and the food is fantastic.
The pizza we had at Il Verziere was as good as it looks ... now THIS is good authentic Italian pizza!!
The restaurant was interesting and eclectic ... very enjoyable
The town is beautiful and presents so much character ... if you ever get to the area - Highly recommended
I believe Montefalco is one the most atmospheric hill towns at night. You captured its essence so perfectly here, Julie, with your amazing eye for composition, light and detail.
